Crash Course in Art: Printmaking

Tacoma Art Museum

Program Overview

Put yourself on a collision course with art at TAM this summer! Take creative risks during a week filled with amazing art, awesome new friends, and expert instructors. Explore new art-making processes and try your hand at interesting materials to create works that you’ll be proud to show off. Invite friends and family at the end of the week to see your masterpieces on display.

Try your hand at screenprinting, linocuts, and 3D printing in this Crash Course that takes its cue fromTAM’s special exhibitions Edvard Munch and the Sea, starring Norway’s most angsty artist, and Northwest Native Prints, highlighting the latest work of contemporary Native artists. Encounter original prints in the galleries, and take a behind-the-scenes peek at TAM’s collection of works on paper before you get messy and make masterpieces of your own.
